Hönshuset Creative Studio

I recently started my own creative studio called Hönshuset (swedish for the hen house).

My studio is set in an old sunroom in the countryside of Jutland, Denmark. Here my husband and I are the fourth generation living in a old country house 600 from the Wadden Sea. Being surrounded by tranquility and nature means everything to me.

We strive to live a simple life where passion and happiness is always paramount. Where creativity flourishes and where no dream is to big.

My 3-year experience in the media/advertising industry as well as my bachelor in multimedia design and concept development, is the basis for my professionalism and ability. I love to be inspired, learn and grow.

I named Hönshuset a creative studio. I do not want to limit myself. My studio will accommodate all of my quirky ideas. I have skills in InDesign and Photoshop, but I am probably soon starting to master watercolor painting.

The direction I choose is subject to the people I meet and the inspiration I get.

I was born with an undeniable wanderlust. It has brought me great experiences in new countries and cultures. It developed me and it is a big part of why I live as I do today. Without a fancy new kitchen, but truly happy.

In the fall of 2015, I made a big decision. I quit my full-time job as a graphic designer at a media agency in Aarhus, and moved with my husband to the West Coast of Jutland. Caffe latte was replaced with rubber boots. Going out replaced with gardening.

And it is one of the best decisions I have ever made.
