100 Days of Fonts

100 days of fonts by Do-Hee Kim via Nelli Arnths blog

I love when creative people work on personal projects. Like this one by S.F. based designer Do-Hee Kim. Every day for a 100 days Kim designed and coded a unique typographic design using only Google Fonts and CSS. When asked what the hardest thing was she replied:

Coming up with the content to “design” day after day. The project has taught me that I’m a designer who firmly believes in the importance of content before design. To echo the thoughts of Jeffrey Zeldman: “Content precedes design. Design in the absence of content is not design, it’s decoration.”

Which is so true… Luckily the content is absolutely great – small anecdotes, thoughts, dreams, quotes and observations from kims everyday life.

This project is Kims take on the awesome 100 day project. It is really inspiring! There’s a book also.
